Software that helps people stay on top of critical items buried in email

Sunnyvale, CA—December 15, 2009--Liaise today announced that it has opened its beta to the general public – available via free download – in addition to providing important new functionality for users.  The Liaise collaboration software, which won the prestigious People’s Choice for Best Enterprise Product at DEMOfall09, has been in private beta since its September launch with a long waiting list of people eager to use the software.

Liaise’s underlying, KeyPoint Intelligence ™ technology is first implemented for Microsoft Outlook®.  It automatically captures action items and issues (called “KeyPoints”) as you type emails to others, and intelligently organizes them by person, initiative, date and priority.  It doesn’t matter whether the email recipient is using Liaise or not.  Responses to Liaise emails sent from any email platform such as Gmail or Yahoo Mail, or even from mobile email systems such as BlackBerry and iPhone, are automatically tracked by Liaise.

Summarized KeyPoints are available on-demand in reports, are integrated into the Outlook calendar, and are kept in sync across networks of Liaise users.

New features announced today include:

Liaise Team Services™:   When networks of people use Liaise to collaborate, they no longer have to send new emails to each other to update the status of shared action items or issues.  Through Liaise’s cloud based Team Services™, status updates are automatically synchronized on each user’s desktop, making it easy for everyone to be immediately up-to-date on their shared items.

Calendar Integration:  Liaise has added automatic integration of KeyPoints into the user’s Outlook calendar.  Whenever a Liaise email containing an action item or issue is sent or received, the KeyPoint is automatically created as an Outlook calendar entry on the day that it is due.  

Mobile Calendar Integration:  Leveraging Outlook’s synchronization with iPhone, BlackBerry and other mobile devices, a summary of Liaise KeyPoints appears in the device’s calendar on the due date. 

Sender and Receiver Options:  Enhanced options allow users to make KeyPoints visible or hidden from recipients per individual email.  In addition, users can choose whether KeyPoints appear as they type or when they are ready to send the email.
