Sunnyvale, CA--December 7, 2009—Liaise, whose software helps people stay on top of critical information buried in messaging systems like email, was chosen as the winner of the collaboration category at the annual Emerging Technology Awards presented by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.   The award was presented on December 3 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA.

The goal of the Emerging Technology Awards is to recognize the innovations and significant accomplishments of technology-oriented companies in Silicon Valley.  The winners were chosen from a record number of nominations, showing the depth of the valley's innovation even during rough economic times.

"Among the things we considered in this year's nominees include the potential viability of the company and the 'wow' factor that clearly sets something apart," said Silicon Valley/San Jose  Business Journal Publisher James MacGregor. "We were ultimately looking for companies that could completely change technology in their sectors, not just advance it a step or two."
